Laura Danae

Laura Danae is a queer, songwriter/artist/producer originally from Athens, Greece. Growing up by the sea, she immersed herself in the rich culture of her homeland and her brit rock influences. Playing shows in clubs as well as operatic and theatre productions within her community, Laura was exposed to a wide range of musical styles that helped her develop her sound. She has written music in French, English, and Greek, experimenting the ways in which each culture identifies with popular music in today’s world.
Danae’s debut EP About Time was released in 2021, introducing her to the local scene as a fresh and new perspective on female fronted rock, taking pride in comparisons to Alanis Morissette and Fiona Apple. Now with her sophomore work in its final stages, Laura is ready to dive into a newfound love in trip-hop/electronica having spent the past year crafting songs for what will be her debut self produced project. Hoping to do these songs justice, she hopes these songs resonate with others the way they have with her.
