Breathwork Biography

Breathwork is the creative endeavor of Ethan Snyder and Xander Naylor, two visionary musicians united by a commitment to fuse jazz, Americana, and improvisation into a distinctive and captivating sound. Their debut album, Amber, released on December 13, 2024, offers a compelling collection that balances tight rhythmic structures with the expansive freedom of improvisational exploration. A standout track is their instrumental rendition of Neil Young’s “Old Man,” which reinterprets the iconic song with a fresh, soulful perspective.

Available on vinyl and streaming platforms through Music Lab Records, Amber is quickly gaining attention for its dynamic energy and innovative sound. Rooted in Vermont, Breathwork continues to evolve, pushing musical boundaries and leaving listeners intrigued by the duo’s next steps.

Infused with “that signature Naylor sound” (Rolling Stone) and Snyder’s “extraordinary talent” (YouTube), Breathwork’s music is an alchemical blend of warmth and depth. The duo’s work radiates positivity, creating a space for reflection, joy, and connection. While embracing an ethos of openness, their music is unflinchingly authentic, resonating with sincerity and emotional complexity. Having performed on stages across the world with celebrated acts such as Mwenso and the Shakes, Moon Hooch, and Warbly Jets, Naylor and Snyder have graced some of the most renowned venues and festivals, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz Festival, Central Park Summerstage, and Lincoln Center.

Breathwork is more than music; it is a conduit for healing, understanding, and motivation, sparking the change needed to create a better tomorrow.
