Jake McVay Biography
After 15 years of fronting the rock band, The Reaching, Jake is doing some solo work again. Rock, Pop, Folk, Gospel, Acoustic... Blend it all together. A little James Taylor, Doobie Brothers, Rich Mullins, Def Leppard, Tears for Fears, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Counting Crows, The Imperials, Sam Cooke, U2 and Garth Brooks are just a fraction of influences you might describe in Jake's music. Songs are a way to say what the heart and soul may have a hard time speaking in a conversation. Jake's music strives to make those kinds of connections.
