Silver Creek Revival

The robust musical talent coming out of Michigan often leads one to think that “there must be something in the water.” This feels accurate for alt-country/indie folk band, Silver Creek Revival, who’s namesake flows through the wooded property near their rehearsal space in Northern Lower Michigan. As singular musicians, Ashley, Sam, Jack, Hannah, Henry, and Rowdy have strong personal musical identities. When each member brings their own diverse influences and style into the fold, something magical happens. The blend of each instrument, often supporting five part harmonies, is easy and genuine.

SCR released their latest album, “Young in Warm Weather” in August 2024. It was recorded at The Greenhouse in New Albany Indiana, where Houndmouth recorded their latest album "Good For You." Working with Shane Cody as producer, mix engineer, and musical guru, the band has tapped into a deep well of creative inspiration…

Their self titled, debut album was released during the summer of 2022. It was nominated for WYCE’s Jammie’s for best Roots/Americana album and Album of the Year. Katie Rosendale of Local Spins described it as “perfect for fans of Nickel Creek and Eddie from Ohio.” In December of 2022, SCR released a four song EP, recorded live in the studio at Dogtown in Grand Rapids, MI.

With multiple lead vocalists, the band’s genre is difficult to pin down. During live shows, they easily shift from heartfelt country ballads to gypsy jazz to indie rock, traditional folk, and more. They provide a performance that is both cohesive and unique. Silver Creek Revival keeps a busy performance schedule, traveling to stages big and small, all across the midwest.

With dozens of new songs in their pocket, a strong work ethic, and creativity that flows as easy as the Northern Michigan waters, Silver Creek Revival is a band to watch for.
