The Deep Blue Crew Biography
Based in Milwaukee, WI, we bring the best of the Blues World to you including Blues, Funk, Surf Rock, and more!
We cover danceable classics as well as deep cuts from the greats, giving our audience what they want including new discoveries. Founded by twin brothers who have been playing together in various formats for 35 years, Brian (guitars, lead vocals) and Erik (keyboards, backing vocals) have been making music together since the age of 12. They have joined forces in several projects including 1881 which produced two full-length albums and played extensively throughout Wisconsin between 2001 and 2010.
The Deep Blue Crew draws inspiration from the likes of:
Blues/Rock: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Albert King, Freddie King, Little Walter, Magic Sam, Magic Slim, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, CCR, and many more
Funk/Funky Blues: Stevie Wonder, War, Robert Cray, Albert King, Freddie King, Blues Brothers, Quincy Jones, and many more
Surf: The Chantays, Link Wray, The Ventures, Dick Dale, The Trashmen, The Bel Airs, The Astronauts, Duane Eddy and many more
