Doug Rose Music Biography
Singer of true country western songs, wanna be songwriter and have guitar will travel kind of guy. A few friends call me the human juke box....I try!
With thousands of words flying around in my head, I continue to learn new songs every week and am in constant pursuit of writing that perfect country and western song.
In June 2017, I finally wrote my first song after attending a Thomas Michael Riley music festival in Luckenbach, Tx. I was inspired by all of the artists. It took months to put music to it and then out of the blue TMR asked me to play his festival.
Not yes but Hell Yes!!! What an honor!
So I got to play the first song I had ever written about my experience at Luckenbach on the stage at Luckenbach that following summer.
"This Hallowed Ground"(c)
"....a writer of songs I hope that Ill be and someday I'll sing and they'll listen to me.
My words will tell stories, they'll see what I see in Luckenbach Texas
under that tree...." ~drm
