El Palmas

Maurice Aymard has spent his entire life dedicated to music. Already in his childhood, back in the 80s of the last century, he grew up surrounded by vinyl in his family’s record stores. He later transformed himself into a record label, producer, creator of a label, DJ and musician who plans to release a second album in 2024. The first, titled Between Stars and oriented towards house, was released in 2013.

The founding of the El Palmas Music label has been a great milestone in the biography of Aymard, born in Caracas in 1977 and today based in Barcelona, where he has one of his two clothing stores “La Veintinueve” (the other is in Madrid). They are two stores full of magnetic vintage-style clothing and women’s shoes that he designs and manufactures himself. Especially because through this brand Maurice has carried out stubborn work of musical archeology since 2016 aimed at rescuing jewels of Venezuelan popular music and preserving cultural memory by publishing very valuable and little-known albums and producing documentaries related to this research task and diffusion.
