Echezona

Echezona is a multi-lingual singer, rapper, and songwriter. Born in the United States to Nigerian immigrant parents, and raised in Boston Massachusetts, Echezona is a Son of Africa and a Son of America. The self-described “kid of immigrants” is a bridge builder among worlds, a contributor to the world’s melting pot of cultural diversity, and an uplifter among people. His artistry reflects his multicultural exposures and is a fusion of afrobeat, hip hop, and R&B. Fluent in Igbo (the native language of his parents), Echezona is a living embodiment of a blend of cultural influences. When growing up, Nigerian music played in his home while hip hop was his influence in the inner-city streets. Echezona works extensively with producer JPRiZM, and releases through the independent record label, Koma Toast Records. Bridging the emotional grit of the inner city with his African diaspora roots, Echezona adventurously defies cultural identity expectations and genre boundaries.
