Age of Fiction

Holly Csiga began writing songs at the age of 3 on her xylophone. She is a trained and practiced singer but mostly taught herself piano and keys by ear and she writes through improv. She has always written in movements with ideas about harmony, orchestration, etc. and learned quickly to produce a lot of dynamic sound. She has had numerous projects between childhood coffeehouse performances in Alaska and current Seattle music life including her theatrical prog rock shows where she was known as "Holly Wyrd" in Seattle in the early 2000's and a recent workshop production of a time-travel Rock Musical she wrote the score for and helped produce and perform, "Persephone." She has been playing music with her drummer and husband, Bryan since 1994, and they have performed together in countless incarnations, spaces, theaters and jams. She sings from the heart.

Bryan Csiga began drumming along to Holly's writing early on, first experimenting and mastering hand drumming and later moving to Seattle he began experimenting with kits and was hooked. He has developed a distinctly original jazz style and is known for his power, transition and tricky timing sense.

Both musicians are primarily self taught and formed as the band "Csiga" before having their first daughter in 2010. They are thrilled to have fresh material and be rolling out this exciting project as a duo, "Age of Fiction." May it induce reality unto the masses.
