With Refuge, the Swiss trio Mundus shapes a solid modernist architecture, but whose windows would have remained open, somewhere between contemporary jazz, groove and distant echoes of hip-hop. At the controls: Victor Decamp (trombon and electronic effects), Fabien Ghirotto (drums) and Quentin Préver (Hammond organ).

Victor Decamp Biography
Victor Decamp (*1997) est un tromboniste et compositeur passionné. Lauréat de nombreux prix internationaux (Leopold Bellan, Innova-Trombone, Paléo, HES-SO, Trombone Jazz Festival Zurich), il bénéficie d’une bourse culturelle de la Fondation Leenaards et suit un programme de mentorat d’un an avec Nils Wogram. Artiste polyvalent, il s’est produit l’Ensemble intercontemporain, le Zurich Jazz Orchestra, Manon Mullener 5tet et Scent of Lilac, l’Orchestre National de Jazz. Compositeur, il écrit pour diverses formation (Mundus Trio, CJO) et crée un spectacle au sein du SLIDE COLLECTIVE, explorant paysages sonores et écritures contemporaines. Il enseigne également au Conservatoire de
Fribourg.
