Domenic Marte, born in Lawrence, MA, is of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent. Known for his unique ability to transcend traditional musical boundaries, he seamlessly blends the vibrant rhythms and sounds of the Caribbean into his signature Bachata Pop style.

A multi-talented artist with a bright future, Domenic Marte showcases his versatility as a singer, songwriter, and producer. On his debut album, Intimamente, he contributed to its creative essence by writing six tracks and producing the standout song “Find Another Man.”
“La Quiero” His talents further shine on his second album, Deseos De Amarte, and The Voice, where he penned six songs for each project.

Marte’s discography features a compelling mix of English and Spanish songs, spanning genres from Latin Pop and Bachata to smooth R&B. Across his three albums—Intimamente, Deseos De Amarte, and The Voice—he proves his ability to connect with diverse audiences through his captivating melodies and heartfelt lyrics.

Domenic Marte’s journey in Latin music began with his debut single, “Ven Tú,” released in 2004. This modern-day Bachata masterpiece, infused with Latin emotion, passion, and style, was produced by Gio Williams and written by Wascar Brazoban. Marte’s soulful interpretation brought the song to life, making it a hit. On April 30, 2005, “Ven Tú” peaked at #7 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart and remained on the chart for an impressive 34 weeks. Today, the song is a global sensation, resonating in many Latin countries and across Europe. Hitting Spotify with 22 Million streams and “Intimamente” the album at 27 Million Streams.

The accompanying album, “Íntimamente,” featured additional hits, including “Ella Se Llevó Mi Vida” (featuring Geraldine), “La Quiero,” and “Ya Que Te Vas a Ir.” These tracks dominated Latin Tropical, Spanish Contemporary, and Regional Mexican radio charts in the U.S. and abroad. Notably, “Ella Se Llevó Mi Vida” peaked at #15 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart.
Building on his success, Domenic Marte continued to innovate within the Latin music scene with his album “Deseos de Amarte.” By blending Pop music elements with traditional Bachata, he showcased his creativity and versatility, proving himself as an artist willing to push boundaries. His bold approach to modernizing Bachata, evident in “Ven Tú” and other hits, solidifies his status as a transformative figure in the genre.

Domenic Marte is a pioneering artist in the Bachata Pop genre, known for his dedication to evolving the global music scene. His second album, “Deseos De Amarte,” gained significant acclaim, including a 2010 nomination for Song of the Year at the “Premio Lo Nuestro” Latin Awards for the track “Eres Así,” along with three additional nominations. Several songs from this album, such as “Con Los Ojos Cerrados,” “Yo Me Equivoco,” and “Ese Soy Yo,” achieved Top 10 rankings on various Latin music charts, including Latin Tropical and Spanish Contemporary stations.

Marte’s innovative approach continued with his third album, “The Voice,” which showcased his fearlessness and dedication to the Bachata Pop style. The album included the hit “Muero De Celos” (featuring Luz Rios), which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Tropical Airplay Chart in 2013. Highlights of his career include a duet performance on Univision’s Sábado Gigante and an exclusive feature on “Primer Impacto”. Tracks such as “Horóscopo” and “Después De Ti No Hay Nada” further solidified his influence across multiple radio formats in the U.S. and abroad.

In 2015, Domenic Marte broke new ground by releasing “For the World,” the first fully English Bachata album, setting a trend within the genre. The album included a Bachata cover of Roy Orbison’s “Pretty Woman.” Luther Ingram “If loving is right I don’t ever want to be wrong” in English and a Spanglish version. His innovative releases has consistently showcased his talent under the Juan y Nelson Records label.

Making History with “Como Quisiera”
Domenic Marte’s independent label launched the hit single “Muero De Celos” “Como Quisiera” from the album “Al Fin Libre”, marking a milestone in his career with a #1 spot on “Billboard’s Tropical Airplay” Chart in October 2016. This success surpassed his previous records, including “Ven Tú” from his debut album “Intimamente” (2004, Juan Y Nelson Records) and the duet with Luz Ríos, which peaked at #10 on the same chart. “Como Quisiera” quickly captivated audiences, with stations like Washington, D.C.‘s WLZL leading airplay with over 70 spins per week and topping audience response metrics. Candy Cintron, WLZL’s assistant program director, highlighted the track’s strong listener connection and its sustained requests.

Additional hits followed, such as “Tu Final,” “Todo Tiene Su Fin” (a cover of Modulos and El Barrio), “Karma Chameleon” (Bachata-Pop in English), and “No Ves Que Te Amo.” Notably, Marte’s duet with Brenda K. Starr in 2016 also reached #10 on the “Tropical Airplay Chart”.


Achievements with “For You Vol 1”
The album “For You Vol 1” featured the single “Te Casarías Conmigo,” which climbed to #2 on the Tropical and Spanish Contemporary charts in the U.S. BDS stations. Another standout track, “Contaré Los Días,” debuted at #18 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay Chart, with additional success peaking at #4 on BDS Tropical Airplay and #25 on Latin Pop BDS.

In 2020, Marte collaborated with Freestyle sensation Stevie B on a Spanglish rendition of Stevie B’s hit “In My Eyes.” The duet reached #12 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay Chart, maintaining the #1 spot on BDS Tropical Radio for five weeks without support from major networks like SBS, Univision, or iHeartRadio. The song even charted on Regional Mexican and Rhythmic charts, solidifying its crossover appeal.

Global Reach and Recognition
In 2022,” For You Vol 1” was released globally under Direct Balance Records, streaming in 162 countries and amassing over 1.1 million streams on Spotify by 2023. Seven singles from the album charted on Tropical Billboard, with several hitting #1 on Music Choice’s Tropical and Pop charts.

Marte also made history as the first U.S.-based Bachata-Pop artist to perform at Havana’s iconic “Casa De La Música” in 2023, sharing the stage with celebrated Cuban acts like Alexander Abreu y Havana D’ Primera.

In 2024, Marte’s legacy was cemented in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where Chestnut Street was renamed Domenic Marte Corner in honor of his contributions to Bachata music.
