Sam Luke Chase

Sam Luke Chase is a Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter who has released four albums of original music. No stranger to his New England roots and ingenuity, Chase self-produces his albums performing all the music himself in a spare bedroom at his house on the South Shore. He's been nominated for Male Performer Of The Year at this year's New England Music Awards (2023).

With influences like James Taylor, Marc Cohn, Keb Mo, Bruce Hornsby and John Mayer, Chase has carved out his own brand of Americana music. In 2021, he was a finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Song Competition in Kerrville, TX, a rite of passage for many singer-songwriters. He’s also performed at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival (Emerging Artist Showcase) and Black Bear Americana Festival, and had the privilege of opening for national acts like America, Styx, Little River Band, Tower of Power, Marc Cohn, Howie Day and Lori McKenna.

Chase graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2008 and quickly launched into the New England gig circuit. After many years of performing and perfecting his music, he’s become known for his original songs and also as one of those rare performers who is able to take a well-known song and make it his own. Whether it be a country, folk, blues or pop tune, Sam reimagines it with his passionate, raspy vocals and crisp guitar chops.

Sam keeps a busy performance schedule, playing rooms up and down the New England coast including a summer residency at Portland Lobster Company in Portland, ME for the past seven years and has been a private music educator for over fifteen years. He is married with two beautiful daughters.
