Iron Front Biography
Iron Front is a Death Metal band from the San Francisco East Bay area. Their music takes inspiration from old school Death Metal as well as NYHC to create crushing hardcore adjacent slam, with both new and old bands serving as inspiration including 200 Stab Wounds, Bodybox, Internal Bleeding, and Suffocation.
So far they have released 2 EPs and 2 full length albums which garnered praise from Metal Forces Magazine for its "amazing mix" and "staggering intensity" and made it onto one of the Toilet Ov Hell’s editors top 10 of 2022 list.
They have enjoyed play on independent radio stations, including Possessed vocalist Jeff Becerra’s Gimme Metal show and were interviewed on Rampage Radio. IRON FRONT has performed all over the greater Bay Area and have toured across the Western U.S. Their latest album, Hooked, was released in January of 2024 on Creator-Destructor Records and Decibel Magazine called the first single, The Slam of '87, "a gut-eviscerating slam-fest of epic proportions".
Originally formed in 2016, the band includes Max Mahmood on drums, Cruz Garcia on guitar and vocals, Jesse Dicruttalo on guitar, Dmitri Castillo-Russell on bass, and Topey Plourde on lead vocals.
