Aaron Goodvin Biography

The much anticipated fourth album from Aaron Goodvin is coming in 2025! Following up the latest line dance sensation “Country Dance,” with over 2 million streams and counting, and the catchy romp “Written All Over It,” Aaron Goodvin releases “Your Time to Stay” this fall followed by the album release in February 2025 with additional tracks “Said No Redneck,” “Not Too Much to Hate About That,” and the title track “Drinkin’ Hand.” Each song is a journey through Aaron’s life, both lighthearted and heartbreakingly serious, telling of the challenges and celebrations that led to becoming a new father with a new outlook, and a new album in the works. With his evocative storytelling and compelling melodies, listeners recognize themselves as they laugh, cry, and sing along.

As a sought-after songwriter, penning songs for Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi and Cole Swindell, Aaron has always written based on an autobiographical perspective but initially thought “Your Time to Stay” would be a standout track for another artist as it was not something he had yet experienced. He recently reflected, “When I first wrote “Your Time to Stay" with Forrest Finn and Lauren McLamb, I thought it was a huge song for someone else. It wasn’t until a few months later that I realized I had written a chapter from my own life. All relationships have ups and downs, and my wife V and I certainly had ours. It’s a miracle we are where we are today, still together, and closer than ever with a beautiful daughter who has completely changed our lives forever.” After performing the song live, fans reached out with similar stories and shared how “Your Time to Stay” encouraged them to keep their own relationships together for the right reasons.

The Alberta-born, Nashville-based artist co-produced the new project, teaming up with seasoned talents Skip Black, Chris Utley, and Andrew Capra and joining forces once again with acclaimed producer Matt McClure who rounded out the esteemed line up of collaborators on the project, building up to Aaron’s most personal collection to date.

Oh yes, ecstatic fans continue to enjoy the bona fide anthem “Lonely Drum,” a double-platinum global juggernaut that radio host Bobby Bones championed on his internationally syndicated show. And now Aaron Goodvin adds to his repertoire of three previous albums - that earned him 13 CCMA nominations, a CCMA Songwriter of the Year Award win, a prestigious JUNO Award Album of the Year nomination and garnered well over 106 million total streams worldwide - with a collection of songs that tells the next chapter in his life. And the best is yet to come with shows across Canada, the US, and Europe in support of the impactful new single, “Your Time to Stay” and the upcoming EP titled “Drinkin’ Hand” set for release in February 2025.
