Merwulf Biography
Merwulf (pronounced ‘mAIR-wolf’) is a minimalist post-punk / indie trio from Portland, OR, with a sound that fans of Gustaf, Sneaks, WIMPS, Sweeping Promises, and even early Talking Heads may find appealing.
Eschewing electric guitars for a simple bass, keys, and drums set up, Merwulf aims to say as much as possible with as little as possible. The resulting sound has recently been described by a fan as, “Halloween if it were in the summertime” — We’ll take it!
Our debut single, 'All Zen', was released independently on August 4th, 2023, alongside bonus songs 'SAD Snake' and 'Hurt Deep'. Merwulf is currently working with legendary punk drummer and producer Spit Stix on their debut album.
