About this concert
The Brothers Comatose with special guest, Broken Compass Bluegrass
Live at the Barrelhouse Brewing Co in Paso Robles, CA.

All Ages
Whether traveling to gigs on horseback or by tour bus, Americana mavens The Brothers Comatose forge their own path with raucous West Coast renderings of traditional bluegrass, country and rock ‘n’ roll music. The five-piece string band is anything but a traditional acoustic outfit with their fierce musicianship and rowdy, rock concert-like shows.
The Brothers Comatose is comprised of brothers Ben Morrison (guitar, vocals) and Alex Morrison (banjo, vocals), Steve Height (bass), Philip Brezina (violin), and Greg Fleischut (mandolin, vocals). When they’re not headlining The Fillmore for a sold-out show or appearing at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, the band is out on the road performing across America, Canada, Australia, and hosting their very own music festival, Comatopia, in the Sierra foothills.
BROKEN COMPASS BLUEGRASS is leading the way in the contemporary bluegrass revival, combining tradition with innovation in a way that appeals to both longtime fans and new listeners alike. Their live performances are characterized by tight harmonies, truly impressive solos, and an undeniable joy that permeates with every note they play. The band's repertoire includes numerous original compositions as well as fresh takes on timeless classics, all delivered with their own distinctive style.
From the moment they take the stage, it's clear that Broken Compass Bluegrass is something different. Their energy is palpable as they weave intricate melodies and harmonize with ease, creating a wall of sound that transports fans to a place where tradition meets innovation. Whether you're a die-hard bluegrass aficionado or just looking for some foot-stomping jam-grass fun, BCB is sure to leave you spellbound and inspired.

Kyle Ledson Biography
Ever since he picked up a fiddle at the age of three years old, Kyle Ledson has drenched himself in music, taking influences of bluegrass & The Grateful Dead to create his own original music for a more modern “Jamgrass” scene. His first album release, “Crooked Mandolin,” saw him collaborating with childhood heroes like Hot Buttered Rum, the T Sisters, and the incredibly talented Molly Tuttle when he was just 14 years old.
Kyle’s sophomore album, “Left It All Behind,” was released in 2021 when he was 18 years old. The stellar record of mostly original tunes featured members Yonder Mountain String Band, ALO, & Hot Buttered Rum.
“This 18 year old man is an extraordinary talent in the world of bluegrass/Americana. His skills on mandolin and flatpicking guitar are rare. His songwriting abilities make him the total package. He's only 18, but he has the sort of skills many can't achieve over the course of a lifetime.”
