About this concert
Mark your calendars for an electrifying night at the Labor Temple in Billings, MT, where Icarus and Salt & Shadow will take the stage. Hailing from Bozeman, Icarus unleashes their art-rock chaos, blending Kyuss’ desert heft, Primus’ quirky punch, and a hint of Bob Marley’s groove into a thrashy, Black Sabbath-inspired sonic ride. Paired with them, Salt & Shadow cast a spellbinding mix of folk and rock, driven by the siren-like harmonies of Lindsay Lawlis and Sophia Writesel. With acoustic guitar, ukulele, and cello meeting electric tension, their sound—amped up by Kohl Jonathan's paranoid riffs—delivers a fierce cry of empowerment. This double bill promises a raw, soul-stirring night that’ll echo through the Labor Temple’s walls long after the lights go down.

Salt & Shadow Biography
Their music has been described as ethereal and psychedelic, spacious and atmospheric, hypnotic and haunting. Salt & Shadow creates a sound that captures the paranoia of a dystopian future, with a message of empowerment in the face of tyranny. The band is led by two female vocalists, one on the cello, and the other on acoustic guitar and ukulele. Their harmonies soar above the orchestra of sound created by their lead guitarist, who plays his instrument like a synthesizer. With a driving bass line and a drummer to create swells of emotion, Salt & Shadow is a magnetic experience.
