Dirty Doorknockers Biography
Get ready to get down and dirty! Dirty Doorknockers is a high-energy band that delivers a potent blend of bluegrass, rockabilly and country inspired songs. The band features Dutch Tessier on guitar and vocals, Darby Fitzgerald on mandolin and vocals, Tomcat Bob on banjo and vocals, and Jesse McEachern on bass. Dirty Doorknockers formed as the dirty duo of Darby and Dutch during the dark days of COVID. They originally were named the John Hughes Bluegrass Explosion with the idea of doing bluegrass covers of soundtracks form John Hughes movies but quickly branched out into a much wider variety of genres and musical inspirations. After several line-up changes they evolved into this fab four, this quintessential quartet in early 2024 and haven't looked back. Playing venues primarily in Southwestern Connecticut, they are quickly forging a reputation as the band you want when you want the party brought to your venue.
