Kim Krans Biography
Kim Krans is a musician and visionary artist known globally as the creator of The Wild Unknown Tarot and various other publications of esoterica and spirituality. The continued success of Krans’ visual art career led her to end her former musical project, Family Band (Brooklyn-based folk-rock), in 2012. Since then, Krans’ musical practice has consisted of chanting mantra and reciting spiritual scriptures as part of her personal meditation practice while living on an ashram. Krans' new music marks a comeback in her creative oeuvre, a hypnotic weaving together of a decade of esoteric study, visionary art, and devotional chanting. Krans currently lives in Los Angeles. Family Band was featured on NPR, World Cafe, Stereogum, Aquarium Drunkard, while Kim's work as an author and artist of The Wild Unknown has been featured in NY Times, Bust Magazine, Vice, Refinery 29, and more.
