The Vad Vuc Biography
The “tessiner” band invented a new musical style: their skauntry irish folk become, in just a few months, a successful way of playing and the audience immediately appreciated this mixed kind of music. In the first career's years, THE VAD VUC received many prizes and played almost everywhere in Switzerland, Italy, France and Germany.
In 20 years THE VAD VUC released 10 albums, played in more or less 400 concerts and shared the stage with many well-known artists such Ska-P, Stromae, Gogol Bordello, The Dubliners, Gotthard, Francesco De Gregori, Simone Cristicchi, Frankie Hi-NRG, Gnu Quartet, Modena City Ramblers, 77 Bombay Street, Skiantos, Eugenio Finardi, Bandabardò and many others.
In the month of April 2017 The Vad Vuc released the cd called “Disco orario” and at the end of 2017, composed the soundtrack for the movie "Frontaliers Disaster".
In the fall of 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, "Vadavialcovid" was released, recorded entirely with mobile phones.
On April 28, 2021 at the Swiss Press Awards 2021, the band's latest single "Neri o bianchi che siano" was officially presented and awarded with the Swiss Press Song 2021 prize.
On November 26 2021, the Live CD "The Vad Vuc 2000-2020" has been released, recorded in September 2020 during the concerts at the Teatro Sociale in Bellinzona.
On November 11, 2022, has been release "Album Postumo" the new album by The Vad Vuc. The second single" Il paese dove tutto va bene" was released on November 25. In 2023 the band toured more than 20 concerts, all sold out.
