About this concert
Shahar Abergel and Daniel Schwarzwald founded Shemesh in 2023. Nadav Assaf (drums) and Michael Edwards (bass) were prompt in joining the band, pushing the boundaries of Soul and Neo-Soul, crafting their own sound with a wide variety of influences, from Jazz, to Rock, and even classical music.
Please note that this concert will be a duo performance.
Daniel and Shahar’s amazing chemistry was captured on their debut duo EP “Connecting”, which is being released this spring of 2025.
They are delighted to bring their magic back to Berlin again, to promote their first release under Segal Music.

Shemesh was founded in 2023 by Shahar Abergel and Daniel Schwarzwald, quickly evolving from a duo into a dynamic band, with Nadav Assaf on drums, and Michael Edwards on bass. Shemesh pushes the boundaries of Soul and Neo-Soul, blending Jazz, Rock, and even Classical music influences, to create a fresh and unique sound.
The duo’s first concerts in Berlin in 2022 caught the attention of Segal Music, leading to both a management contract and a record deal. Their debut EP, Connecting - which is being released this spring of 2025 - captures the magic of their exceptional chemistry. Shemesh is quickly gaining recognition, and already filling venues in Berlin.
In February 2025, Shemesh began recording their first album as a full-fledged band, working with record producer Daniel Harlev in Berlin. The project promises to take their sound to even greater heights.
