Gracing major stages in the UK and tasting success across Europe, British Funky-Soulstress, Helena May serves up an energetic show with grooving bass-lines, whipping brass and her powerful vocals.
Helena's music-odyssey commenced in the 90s & 00s, nurturing her love for music with the likes of Joss Stone, Incognito and The Brand New Heavies. At the age of twelve, May encountered Jamiroquai's "A Funk Odyssey” igniting further, her passion for Soul and Funk music.
Helena May unveiled her debut-studio album, "Funkalicious" with Sheep Hill Records in 2021 - a collaborative effort with 19 Austrian & British music-makers. By weaving personal experiences and empowering themes of courage and individuality, May strives for a relatable connection with every release & live show.
Helena May has been releasing the first half of her second studio album on Sheep Hill Records throughout 2024 - featuring singles 'Lifetime Supply', 'Still Here', 'Sweet Memories' and title track of the album - 'Puzzle Pieces'. Helena May will be celebrating Side A with celebration concerts in Vienna and London this Autumn.
