Moictani Biography
Moictani is the project of Spanish-Swiss artist Tania Praz. Conceived and composed in her bedroom in 2021, it is an ode to the DIY trend that has become widespread in recent years. All the compositions are the fruit of experimentation in the musician's intimate, gentle, dreamy universe. She invites listeners to join her in her imaginary world, navigating without constraint between the musical genres that shape her identity.
Initially sung in English, and after a few texts in French, the project quickly developed around her mother tongue, Spanish. The first productions were produced and recorded in collaboration with Patrick Chevalley. He soon joined Tania on stage to accompany her on bass during her performances.
As a duo, they played a series of concerts and recorded two opuses released on Bleu Lagon Records in Vevey: a first EP entitled “I'm Okay” in 2021, followed by a second “Mi Vida en el Sunshine” in 2022.
Finally, in September 2023, Moictani releases her very first album entitled “Cinq heures trente-deux”, in which she brings together 10 songs written throughout that year. She recorded the album with Antoine Poudret and Patrick Chevalley in the La Zinguerie studio.
Following the release of her first album, the artist decided to evolve the project and formed a full band, recruiting Antoine Poudret on keyboards, Rémi Larpin on drums and Keziah Popolillo on guitar.
