Annu Kapoor is an acclaimed Indian actor, singer, director, producer, and television presenter known for his versatile performances in Hindi cinema, theatre, and television. Early Life and Education
Annu Kapoor was born on February 20, 1956, in Itwara, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, into a culturally rich family. His father, Madanlal Kapoor, owned a travelling Parsi theatre company, while his mother, Kamal Shabnam Kapoor, was a poetess and classical singer. He was initially named Anil Kapoor but later changed it to Annu Kapoor to avoid confusion with Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor.
Despite financial struggles, Kapoor pursued his education at the National School of Drama (NSD) in Delhi, where he honed his acting skills.
