Folk Traditions Plus a Touch of the Classical
Mr. Andrew (born June 3rd, 1984) is the former First Prince of San Francisco. He began his music career at the tender age of 4, singing in the Children’s Choir at the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin. His studies continued at Calvary Presbyterian Nursery School and then Cathedral School for Boys. At the age of 14 he stole his first guitar and formed the band Miso Militia, performing regularly at 924 Gilman Street and Chloe’s Garage. In 2006 he earned his Bachelor’s degree in music from the University of California in Santa Cruz and immediately began teaching and performing music for children. He has also been a member of many venerable Bay Area groups including Rin Tin Tiger, Pink Pigs, and The Under Trio.
Since his abdication, Mr. Andrew has relocated to the small town of Larkspur in Marin County and spends his free time hiking Mt. Tamalpais with his beloved dog Honey. Due to contract disputes his solo album “Chubby Mercury” and the EP “Happy Dagger/Laughing Heart” remain unreleased. And although he seldom performs live, he continues to write and record music in private.
Based in Los Angeles, California, Izzytime is the playground where creative personalities come together. In the past you could find him playing the violin as Israel Heller, exploring the quantum circuitry of the universe as Next Emissary, and performing in-depth improvisations with composer and guitarist Crecelius as the duo DECOR.
Hosted by E.G. Phillips, who is widely considered to be "too classic."

EG Phillips Biography
E.G. Phillips is a San Francisco based songwriter who creates lyric driven songs with his own special blend of whimsy and cinematic imagery. His musical influences range that from old school rock and folk to classic jazz. His favorites include Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Kinks as well as Duke Ellington and that crowd. A touch of Tom Lehrer might also be in the mix.
He has been the "Songwriter-in-Residence" at Bazaar Cafe (September 2015 and April 2017) and a featured performer at the Cafe International and Hotel Utah. For the past two years, E.G. has hosted “E.G. Phest" (most recently at the Lost Church) where a dozen or so local bay area musicians cover one of his songs as part of his birthday celebration, giving them their own distinct spin. In early 2017 Phillips released his first album "Fish from the Sky" -- a collection of well worn originals he's performed around the Bay Area for many years.
