Songs of Mindfulness and Introspection
Roo Harrigan is a singer-songwriter who balances cathartic, melancholy lyrics with dancy, folk-infused melodies. Raised on the Jersey Shore, she grew up playing piano and writing sad songs for no one in her parent's basement. Recommended if you like Lizzy McAlpine, Phoebe Bridgers, or Kacey Musgraves
Riley Francis is a Bay Area-based singer-songwriter known for her evocative storytelling and raw, heartfelt lyrics. She’s been writing songs since she was 5 years old, using music as a way to express her emotions and connect with the world around her. Drawing inspiration from artists like Noah Kahan and The Lumineers, she crafts songs that feel deeply personal—almost as if you’ve lived them yourself.
With themes of mental health, loss, and self-discovery, Riley's music is both haunting and meaningful. She also has a deep love for travel, often taking her experiences from being on the road and turning them into new songs, giving her music a richness that reflects the world she’s seen. Between songs, her dark humor keeps audiences engaged, making every performance a journey—one that lingers long after the last note.
Hosted by lapsed geographer and current musical malcontent E.G. Phillips.

EG Phillips Biography
E.G. Phillips is a San Francisco based songwriter who creates lyric driven songs with his own special blend of whimsy and cinematic imagery. His musical influences range that from old school rock and folk to classic jazz. His favorites include Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Kinks as well as Duke Ellington and that crowd. A touch of Tom Lehrer might also be in the mix.
He has been the "Songwriter-in-Residence" at Bazaar Cafe (September 2015 and April 2017) and a featured performer at the Cafe International and Hotel Utah. For the past two years, E.G. has hosted “E.G. Phest" (most recently at the Lost Church) where a dozen or so local bay area musicians cover one of his songs as part of his birthday celebration, giving them their own distinct spin. In early 2017 Phillips released his first album "Fish from the Sky" -- a collection of well worn originals he's performed around the Bay Area for many years.
