Moonloop Biography

Moonloop was born in Barcelona in 2001, with members Eric (guitars/vocals), Raúl (drums), and Juanjo (guitars/vocals). After three self-released demos, and opening for artists such as Anathema, Cynic, Persefone, Saturnus, Leaves Eyes, Finntroll or Draconian, Moonloop signed with Listenable Records to release their debut album in 2012, titled “Deeply from the Earth”. Moonloop continued to share the stage with Gojira, Taake, Persefone, Ereb Altor, or Iniquity, while working on their second studio album. “Devocean” was released in 2017, followed by an extensive promotion at various events and festivals in Spain, Denmark, and France, alongside bands such as Pestilence or Pitbulls in the Nursery. The entry of Marc as the new bassist in 2021 defined the next creative stage for Moonloop, focused on the recording of a third studio album. "Fate in Motion" has been self-released in 2024, and was mixed and mastered at Farm of Sounds by Eloi Boucherie (vocals/guitars at Vidres a la Sang & vocals at White Stones). The album reflects everything experienced over the past few years, and it's a powerful, complex, and emotional progressive metal journey filled with soundscapes inspired by nature, society, personal experiences, geological sciences, mythology, and the Universe. Alexander Núñez recently joined the band as the second guitarist, providing a definitive stability.

Moonloop are:
Eric Baule (vocals/guitars/keyboards)
Raúl Payán (drums)
Marc Contel (bass)
Alexander Núñez (guitars)
