Jack Wilson Music Biography
Jack Wilson is a London-based saxophonist and composer originally from North Yorkshire. His debut EP was launched with a sold-out show at The Muddy Puddle, followed by another sold-out performance at The Vortex (Downstairs), London, in January 2025. In summer 2025, Jack and his band will embark on a UK tour.
Jack’s diverse career spans multiple genres. Recently, he toured with Palestinian violinist Akram Abdulfattah on his debut UK tour and featured on Akram Abdulfattah Live at Cambridge Folk Festival. His latest compositions are firmly rooted in jazz while drawing from his experience in folk, world, and electronic music.
A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Master of Performance with Distinction, 2021) and Leeds College of Music (2017), Jack has performed extensively across the UK and Europe. His performances have taken him to France, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Cyprus, and Sweden, with festival appearances including Cambridge Folk Festival, Knockengorroch, Green Man, Shambala, Boomtown, The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival, and the London Jazz Festival.
