Hektor Mass Biography
For Hektor Mass, music is all about creating a connection. It’s that feeling that inspired his journey as a DJ and producer. Since making his debut back in 2016 with his single “My Life,” Mass has garnered a feverish fanbase and a discography to match. As a young teen growing up in Barcelona, Mass
created music as a hobby, teaching himself how to bring beats together to produce songs and made a name for himself on the city’s world-renowned clubbing circuit. Hektor’s reputation for bringing the party grew at a breakneck pace.
Hustling isn’t just second nature for Mass — it’s the only way he knows how to work.
After playing in festivals across Europe like Tomorrowland and boasting sets at the world’s most celebrated clubs sharing stage with the best DJ’s in the world. He made the jump to LA to break it in America. The result was a Vegas residency at Resorts World LV — a lifelong dream come to life. If that wasn’t enough, Mass was hand-selected by Steve Aoki himself to be part of the elite residency’s line-up in Amnesia Ibiza, in addition to performing 10 shows at Zouk and Ayu Las Vegas for the ‘22 season.
Moving across the globe has resulted in Mass discovering new facets of himself as a DJ, producer, and someone fully in control of his career. Using every chance to invest in his career and network into circumstances he could only dream of, Mass’ journey is proof that when you bet on yourself, incredible things can happen.
Pulling from a myriad of genre influences, Mass has spent his career experimenting with different sounds and styles to create songs that are as unique as he is. After releasing “Shake That Bottle,” a collaboration with Deorro, in 2019, Mass reached new heights, showing him the power of connection through music. “Don’t Stop The Music,” a collaboration with Italian DJ Feb, was released late last year and has garnered over 12 million streams on Spotify to date.
One of the songs that embodies Mass’ dedication to connecting through his music is “Want You Here,” his latest release with artist ILVS. The song demonstrates Mass’ deft touch as a whip-smart, powerful producer, blending deep, hypnotic rhythms, and melodic, emotional harmonies.
With more music released throughout the year, performing his residency at Zouk Nightclub in Resorts World in Vegas, playing a set at Arenal Sound, one of Spain’s biggest festivals, and his residency at Amnesia Ibiza with Bizarrap, 2023 is shaping out to be Mass’ year. Jetting across the globe to play for his fans is something that, when he looks at the year ahead, is what excites him the most. “When someone comes to one of my shows, I just want them to remember it for the rest of their lives — because it’s something I want to remember for the rest of my life, too.”
