FRAGMENT Celtic Music Biography
Fragment formed in Rome in March 2015 by Ariele Cartocci and had its debut on the stage of Fairyland's Celtic Festival. In January 2016 the band releases its first ep "Fragments" and since that moment it performs at many music festivals in Italy, like Folkest, Brintaal Celtic Folk, Bustofolk, Montelago Celtic Festival, Piano Piano per Sulmona, TolfArte, Your Roots Are Showing, Ladispoli Celtic and many others...
In 2018 Fragment released their first LP "Second Awakening", an album which expresses the encounter between different musical influences: a kaleidoscopic reinterpretation of irish, scottish and breton cultural heritage and the purpose to explore the connection with modern musical trends.
In 2024 Fragment released their second LP "Over The Horizon", an album that follows the search for contaminations already experimented in "Second Awakening", with a new progressive electronic sound.
In 2021, Fragment ranked first in “Premio Alberto Cesa” competition, with their reworking of the traditional Friulian song “Al Vaive Ancje Il Soreli”, later included in the album “Over The
Horizon”.
A "Fragment" of a puzzle to be resolved, with no certain solutions but limitless creative possibilities.
