Drawing inspiration from both classic and contemporary artists such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Maddison Cunningham, Kimbra, and Jamiroquai, Rue has made a name for herself through her headline shows at esteemed venues like the Cheltenham Festival Jazz Arena, Pizza Express Jazz Club in London, and Patchwork Studios. She has also graced the stages of major festivals including Boardmasters, Leopallooza, and The Great Escape, establishing herself as one of the must-see live acts in the south-west, whether performing solo or with her band. In 2022, Rue opened for the afro-jazz ensemble Nubiyan Twist and has supported a variety of prominent artists, including Yakul, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Keane, Newton Faulkner, and James Arthur. A seasoned performer with experience in both BBC Radio and Television, she has collaborated with Sennheiser and received support from the renowned radio station Jazz FM.
