Phil Odgers

Founder member and vocal strike force of the inimitable The Men They Couldn’t Hang, Phil “Swill” Odgers is a well loved and prolific solo artist in his own right. Audiences around the world have succumbed to his effervescent and heartfelt vocal style. A fine acoustic guitarist, singer and songwriter, his influences are far-reaching, ranging from his Scottish roots, through 50’s/60’s rock ‘n’ roll, punk, folk and country. Phil Odgers is a sorely undervalued national treasure! To make the gig even more special Phil will be accompanied by renegade virtuoso Bobby Valentino on fiddle and backing vocals - we might even tempt Bobby to sing a song or two! Turn right by St Nicholas Church onto the B2177 to North Boarhunt, and after approx one and a half miles take the second left into Trampers Lane, Forest Folk is at the Social Club and Village Hall half a mile down the lane on the right, opposite the bottle bank sign. There is plenty of room in the car park behind the village hall so please do use it - many thanks. There are two disabled spaces at the front of the building (which is wheelchair accessible) - please keep free for those who need to use them. From the West, double back along the M27 from Junction 11 to Junction 10, then follow directions above.
