Wild Rosemary Biography
Wild Rosemary is an up-and-coming band from Catalonia that has captured attention with their unique style of American folk music. They have joined forces to create an authentic sound rooted in the musical tradition of the Appalachians. With their debut album,‘Barn New World’, they present a collection of songs that reflect the influence of Celtic and African music on American folk. The band stands out for the use of instruments such as the banjo, accordion, and mandolin, which add a rich and genuine texture to their compositions. Additionally, they combine harmonic voices that add depth and emotion to their lyrics.
The result is a record that, while staying true to the roots of folk, incorporates elements of modern production to offer a fresh and innovative listening experience. With songs that talk about everyday life and quiet moments, Wild Rosemary seeks to share their passion for live music with the audience.
Wild Rosemary is formed by Dave Zörn (banjo, accordion and mandolin), Oriol Vicente (vocals and guitars), Danilo Barrios (Bass) and Emmanuel Vence (keyboards and Mandolin). With their first album, Barn New World, a self-produced work recorded at Cal Qurema's home studio and at Audiolab, the recording studio of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, they aim to approach Appalachian folk and Americana music in Catalonia. The band has had the collaboration of friends and loved ones such as Silvia Segura (vocals, bass, and keyboards) and Alex Monràs (acoustic guitar).
