Way Out West Band Central Coast Biography
Nashville meets California --Country, Rock, Dance and some hippy music thrown in for fun.
Way Out West was born when professional musicians who had played in multiple bands on the Central Coast and Nashville decided to get together and do 90’s country and retro country rock. It wasn’t long before they realized they had something way more. They added their hot licks and tight vocal harmonies to bring a fresh sound to every song. Way Out West has a fun stage presence and has upped the dance factor and rock and roll vibe that has built a solid relationship between tunes, listeners, and the dance floor.
On lead electric guitar, fiddle, and vocals, Kelly Powers sings lead and uses sharp, fast fills to play more tunes than a jukebox. Valerie Powers brings her high clear vocals, percussions, and flawless harmony to the mix. With Wayne Pearson on the driving rhythm, Bob Hamilton, on his shiny steel guitar, Vance Gibbon on creative, energetic bass, and Art Dougal, flashy and steady, keep the rhythm train rolling.
Cowboys and hippies keeping it cool, WAY OUT WEST
