About this concert
Night 2 features smooth sensations Bronze (with musicians from longtime Windy City bands like Axis Sova, 1900s, Michael Columbia, Mahjongg, and Cave) diverting into a unique set of edgy 80s movie soundtracks like Cat People, Manhunter, and To Live and Die in LA. Pop-psychsters HEAD have been laying down their brand of spacey chooglin for several years, and the first-time duo of viola goddess Whitney Johnson (aka Matchess) and cello/synths/vocalist Taralie Peterson (of Spires That in the Sunset Rise/Tekla Peterson) will surely surprise and reach for the heavens. Opening Saturday is kosmische travelers Spiral Galaxy, featuring Psych Fest organizer Plastic Crimewave and painter/flautist Sara Gossett, joined by special guests Jimmy Lacy aka ambient voyaging SiP, and country weirdo-polymath Lawrence Peters on his minimal percussion, including washboard!

Bronze Biography

Praised as "big indie rock talent" by the Chicago Tribune, Bronze is a Windy City-based soft synth pop act balancing the intimacy of a pre-dawn romantic tryst with the opulent production of AM radio hits that poured out of stereos in the early 1980's.

Studio and touring veterans, the members of Bronze have played alongside an array of notable artists including The Motels, Cursive, Ben Lee, Red Krayola, and Man Man. Don't let the CV fool you though. Bronze is bringing a fully unique take on pop songs and their music has drawn comparisons to predecessors like Robin Gibb and Roxy Music as well as some of the carriers of today's smooth torch, Donny Benet and Mac DeMarco.
