tellyeaters Biography
telly what now!?
tellyeaters ('Telly' eaters) are a 4-piece alternative-rock, post-punk, shoegaze band from Sheffield, UK. The band, since 2024, has consisted of a collection of 4 indie-loving giants who just
couldn't resist helping themselves to some Dinosaur Jr, Pavement and The Front Bottoms. Their distinguished brand of entertainement fuses Otto’s technical fluid grooves, Naylor's punchy rhythmic bass, Jackson's dreamy and expert guitar with the phonetics of surreal emotional lyricist McGrail. The quartet employ beautiful conviction on stage and completely burst the audience's expectations, particularly in cover choice. "Did they really just play that one?" Yes they did.
They will make you want to dance, stand still, or move however you must to get their warm fever off your shoulders.
tellyeaters and friends pioneered the open-mic scene in their school, organising a place for them and others to perform to each other. This is how the four bonded and began their initial journey.
They have since recorded and produced their own EP through their school's student-ran record label: hand-crafting CDs and thoroughly carving out their vision.
