CM ADAMS

CM Adams began playing music at the age of eight, inspired by his uncles who grew up playing music together in the hills of Kentucky. He got his professional start at 19, performing in blues bars with JD Wilkes of The Legendary Shack Shakers. His past projects include the band Worm Hole (2006-2008) with John Geddes and Toby Padilla. Now based in Las Cruces, CM has become a popular regional performer and songwriter, from his solo acoustic performances and those with CM ADAMS & THE 3W BAND, garnering a New Mexico Music Award and receiving several nominations for his self-penned songs.
CM performs acoustic sets of his original music mixed with favorite tunes recorded by legendary artists such as Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Tom Waits, Townes Van Zandt, Kris Kristofferson, as well as contemporary artists such as Colter Wall, Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton, and Sturgill Simpson.
As a one-man band using acoustic guitar, harmonica, banjo, and occasional foot stomping, CM engages the audience with backstories of his original songs as well as insights into cover songs, the artists who wrote them, and the impacts they have had on his own development as a songwriter and artist.
CM’s music with CM ADAMS & THE 3W BAND has found its way onto various Spotify playlists alongside renowned artists such as Steve Earle, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and Wilco, further cementing his place in the Americana scene.
