Luis Rosario, DJ/Producer, Professional Audio Mix Engineer, Co-Founder
Of Groove Temple & founder of Version Underground. NYC Born and raised in Brooklyn, Luis had exposure to underground dance culture at an early age. Flipping through his parents' old vinyl, getting his first taste of playing 80s grooves, grew into a passion for music and dance.

In the 90s, frequently hitting legendary clubs like the Limelight, The Palladium, The Tunnel, & the iconic Twilo,
Luis became a regular street dancer. Poppin, breakin & just house dancing. He founded his first dance crew
called Free Soul during his college years which primarily focused on inspiring the art of freestyle dance
to electronic dance music. Dance during the 90s pulled him into the underground east coast rave scene where
he had the pleasure to witness iconic live performances such as Flash by Green Velvet at legendary events like IT!
It was there where his love for djing began while experiencing his first taste of the Detroit Legend Stacy Pullen,
whom he credits for the inspiration to pursue djing ... So, dance then grew into djing, rocking his first grooves on Technic 1200s and buying techno records from record labels such as Purpose Maker, Black Nation, Bush, Primate, & Drum Code. He booked his first dj gig in Montreal within 6 months of getting on those 1200s which sparked his dj career into the future. Over the last 27 years Luis Rosario has been DJing a myriad of clubs, parties across the US and abroad.
As a recording artist on labels such as Black Nation Records, Flamingos, Fade Records & Sketchbook Records, Luis’ style is influenced by iconic dance music metros like Detroit, Chicago, New York City, Berlin and London. Some notable works can be found on Black Nation Records under the moniker Ds and Cs (Dominicans and Cubans). The album “Placing Ourselves Elsewhere” co-produced w/ Nelson Fernandez (DJ Nova Miami), brought the flavor of latin fused techno rhythms into a sound that was considered by some as a timeless “work of art”. Growing popularity of the album led to stand out tracks like "Trouble" to be charted #1 on Stacey Pullen’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix hosted by Pete Tong while "Moon Over Miami" charted on Maya Jane Coles dj charts. The duo’s Last Days project also gained huge support with remixes by producer giants such as Samuel L Session and John Tejada.

Other music production work includes an organic collaborative project named Flamingos with co-producer
Ryan Emerson (DJ Rin The Chemist). A musical experimentation that can be linked back to some of his older
influences of 80s electro reminiscent of listening to his parents' old vinyl back in Brooklyn. The sound, fused with some of the duo’s chicago and detroit influences, can be described as a retro tech sound where they produce danceable recreations of popular and underground tracks of the 80s. Inspired by a generation where retro and 80s electro pop created a music scene like no other, it's focus is to inspire new dance floors using the best of what they know and what makes people dance. Notable works include albums “Flamingos Go To Hollywood” ,“Flamingos In Ibiza” &
the single “Melody Maker”.
