Buffalo Down

BuFFaLo DoWN is made up of 3 Tennessee musicians who have a long history together. Jeff Lane, Johnny Nat Rasar, and Brian Seiler have been the driving force behind both soul-rock band the Real Life Heavies and regional favorite alt-country/Americana group Hundred Acres.

When tides turned during the pandemic, both bands along with most bands everywhere lost all their bookings and their view of the future with uncertainty ahead. Frontman Jeff Lane switched gears to figure out what to do musically, both out of necessity as well as a much-needed creative outlet. Jeff went back to the drawing board and came back with an acoustic cover show playing mostly patios and bars across East Tennessee for the next few years, slowly building friends and fans in different towns. This is where BuFFaLo DoWN was born…..

As thing started getting “back to normal” in the live music world, Lane wrangled Johnny Rasar and Brian Seiler into a super-fun 3 piece acoustic act, taking advantage of the hundreds of songs he added to his repertoire in the previous years. The result is an almost family-band feel, straight out of the living room kinda’ band, effortlessly crossing genres and eras with a groovy acoustic feel!
