Krys Biography
As did Admiral T, to whom he acknowledges he owns a lot while still aiming to differenciate from, Krys popped out very early. Engaged in rap through neighborhood friends, he soon decided to dedicate himself to dancehall.
It's as a young DJ (15 years old) from Point-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, that he met the Black Micky crew. With them, he tours the local sound systems and meets Tiwony, Admiral T, and Little Espion. The latter brings him to the Kickilla team's studio in France, that he never left since.
Along with the Guadeloupean sound system Blackwarell, Kickilla co-produced the first compilation to feature Krys, "R2D2" - with the title "Yo Tout Penar". Four titles then followed, each on a separate compilation, that all became major underground dancehall hits: An Vlé An Gal (on "Megawatt"), Gardes Cocotes (B52 riddim - "Dancehall Tracks"), Mouveman’la (Aaxxia riddim), and Pa goumé ba fanm (Jurassik Time riddim).
A 10-titles album named "Krys" was released in November 2004, that featured those 4 tracks but 6 then unrealesed ones. A kind of a firestart before a forthcoming complete album release.
