Sheryl Wiser Biography
Acclaimed Seattle-based singer, songwriter and guitarist Sheryl Wiser has crafted a soulful and uniquely compelling style of music combining elements of Americana, roots, blues, jazz, folk and rock. With her signature red Parker Fly guitar, Sheryl displays a dynamic range of percussive guitar work, coupled with a voice of soul, vibrancy and passion.
The Seattle Times calls her “a gifted singer and songwriter, who writes emotional, rhythmically stirring songs and delivers them with passion.” The Willamette Week in Portland, OR wrote “Along with her sharp twists of the pen as a lyricist, Wiser has the savvy confidence of a vocalist one usually only hears from jazz singers.”
Currently, Sheryl performs as a solo artist at venues and events around the Pacific Northwest, and private locations through her Pie + Persistence house concert series, along with appearances as a trio with her band, which features Dave Goldberg on drums, guitar, harmonica and vocals, and Gary de Gorgue on keys, vocals and bass.
