About this concert
Jim Moginie just released a new album of songs called ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Fine’, recorded at his Oceanic Studio.
Jim has been playing a few intimate solo shows, based around the piano, to launch the album. He is joined by legendary drummer Hamish Stuart and will play tracks from the album and solo albums as well as some of the well loved works from Midnight Oil.
Jim Moginie was/is a songwriter, guitarist and keyboardist in Midnight Oil.
Since their final ‘Resist’ world tour in 2022, Jim has been busy launching his solo guitar album ‘Murmurations’ as well as his stunning memoir ‘The Silver River’. Described as "a work of unforced poetry" by Michael Dwyer, Sydney Morning Herald and as "a patient work of great beauty" by Andrew McMillen The Australian.

Jim Moginie Biography
Jim Moginie, a driving force behind Midnight Oil, will be launching his new album of songs ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Fine’, on December 6, 8, 12, 13 and 15, in intimate Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Wollongong and Byron Bay venues, playing seated behind a piano, with special guest legendary drummer Hamish Stuart.
Since Midnight Oil’s final ‘Resist’ world tour in 2022, Jim has been busy launching his solo guitar album ‘Murmurations’ as well as his stunning memoir ‘The Silver River’ a moving and inspiring story of families lost and rediscovered.
Threaded with vivid recollections of childhood, behind the scenes stories of band life and fascinating insights into the creative processes that produced some of this country’s most beloved songs, ‘The Silver River’ is described as “a work of unforced poetry" (Michael Dwyer, Sydney Morning Herald) and "a patient work of great beauty" (Andrew
