The Marches Biography
The Marches are a dynamic Scottish pop-rock band based across Ayrshire and Paisley, bringing a fresh yet timeless sound to the UK music scene.
Formed in December 2023, this female-fronted four-piece wasted no time, quickly crafting their original material and making their mark with a sold-out debut headline gig at the iconic King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow in July 2024.
The band’s early releases helped build their momentum, with their debut single “In Comes The Fear” receiving worldwide radio play. Their follow-up, “Talking Too Much”, was featured on BBC Introducing Scotland, further solidifying their presence in the indie music landscape. As their fan base continues to grow, The Marches have become a must-see act, performing across key venues and festivals in Scotland’s central belt, winning over new fans with their blend of infectious pop-rock hooks and distinctive, powerful vocals. Heavily influenced by legendary female-fronted bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Bangles, and other iconic rock acts of the past, The Marches are on a mission to resurrect that timeless, melodic sound while bringing something fresh and exciting to today’s music scene.
Looking ahead to 2025, the band has big plans in store. They kicked off the year by returning to King Tut’s to headline the New Year Revolution festival, once again selling out the venue. The Marches are set to release a series of original tracks, along with their highly anticipated debut music video, directed by the renowned Stuart Alexander. The band’s big showpiece event will culminate in a headline gig at Glasgow’s SWG3, further marking their growing influence.
In addition to their musical achievements, The Marches have signed with the up-and-coming independent micro-record label Revo Pro, which marks an exciting new chapter in their journey. With a string of releases, a growing fan base, and a vision for the future, 2025 is poised to be a breakout year for The Marches as they continue to carve their name into the heart of the UK music scene.
