It's Memorial Day Weekend with Rhonda Funk and Band.Nashville singer/songwriter Rhonda Funk was the 2022 ISSA USA Entertainer of the Year. Funk, who hails from the Pacific Northwest, moved to Nashville a year and a half after surviving brain surgery for an aneurysm to see what she could do as a songwriter.
She has been nominated for several awards including the ISSA USA Female Vocalist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, and won awards for the USA Female Single of the Year, and Silver USA Entertainer of the Year (2021) before winning gold in 2022.
Her last album, "Ain't Your Momma" (2020 Pure Music Nashville), made the Grammy ballot for consideration for a nomination in 2020 and features singles "Cumberland Falls" and "More Than A Table."
She has opened for acts such as Sara Evans, Darryl Worley and Ella Langley and has become a part of the Oregon Jamboree family playing in 2018 and 2022. Rhonda is also part of a Canadian based group The Band BANC, which is comprised of music legends Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, Ozzy Osborn), Johnny A (The Yardbirds, Boston Hall of Fame), Ellis Hall, Mark Clarke (Colosseum) and other incredible artists. The band has a goal to raise over 5 million dollars for charities in Canada and the States.
If Melissa Etheridge and country music had a baby, it would be Rhonda. She's gritty, raspy and authentic. A show you don't want to miss.
