Road To The Award Show - Female Showcase Hailey James is bringing Nashville Writers’ Rounds to River Falls, WI! She will be hosting a FREE all-female showcase at Tarnation Tavern as a part of promotion for the Midwest CMO annual award show coming up on April 12. As the reigning 2-time Female Vocalist of the Year, Hailey is bring in artists from the org that demonstrate the talented Female singer/songwriters of the Midwest. Artists in the Round: Hailey James: HOST Hailey James is a talented singer/songwriter/performer/recording artist who hails from Cottage Grove, MN. She has garnered recognition as a 5-time AWARD WINNER from the Midwest Country Music Organization, receiving prestigious titles such as 2023 and 2022 Female Vocalist and Songwriter of the Year, as well as the 2021 Midwest CMO New Artist and Song of the Year for her track "Wide Awake." On top of Midwest awards, Hailey won 'Vocalist of the Year - Modern Country Female' at the Josie Music Awards held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN in 2024.​ Recent achievements include playing the Vikings VS Chiefs Halftime Show at US Bank Stadium on October 8, 2023, as well as performing the National Anthem at the October 20, 2024 game. Hailey has also opened for country music stars including Carrie Underwood, Dylan Scott, Tigirlily Gold, Diamond Rio, Crystal Gayle, etc. along with being able to share the stage with Dustin Lynch in 2021 at Country Fest(Hoofbeat) in Cadott, WI which turned into a viral moment across all her social media platforms. Chaunte Shayne: Chaunté Shayne, a dynamic singer-songwriter born in Burnsville, Minnesota and raised in River Falls, Wisconsin, channels her personal journey into empowering, genre-blending music. From her early days of writing songs to cope with bullying, Chaunté transformed her raw emotions into powerful anthems that resonate with listeners everywhere. With an edgy, authentic style, she encourages others to embrace their true selves, stand up for their beliefs, and boldly defy expectations. Her music blends elements of R&B, rock, and country, creating a unique sound that leaves a lasting impact, whether she’s performing as an acoustic duo or rocking the stage with a full band. Each song tells a story—a wild ride through the ups and downs of life. With every note, Chaunté invites her audience to be unapologetically confident and unapologetically real. Rachel Neal: Born and raised in Michigan but now residing in a small, rural town in southwest Wisconsin, songbird Rachel Neal, has lived a life heavily influenced by music. From singing in the choir, to performing in musicals, to the true passion she had and still has for country music, Neal has always had a melody in her head. In March 2023, in hopes of learning a new skill, the now 25-year old picked up an old custom guitar and quickly found out that songwriting was a true passion of hers. By November of ‘23, Neal was performing her first gigs in her small town at the local businesses. She has now completed her first full year of performing as an artist part time, putting nearly 40 shows in the books. She also released her debut single “WILDFLOWER” this past year. Her songwriting is influenced by some of her role models - Miranda Lambert, Brandi Carlile, Megan Moroney, and Lauren Watkins. She continues to put in the work to grow her skills and write some honest and captivating music while drawing in a crowd with her pure tone and engaging talent. Dayna Kaye: Dayna Kaye is a Minnesota-based singer-songwriter and Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) featured frequently as anthem singer for the Timberwolves, Minnesota Lynx, and has been featured several times on ESPN for big games like the 2022 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. She is passionate about using her musical talents to foster health & wellness, and in support of charitable issues. In the past her original compositions and artistry have garnered nominations for awards with the Midwest County Music Association. In 2024, she released her song "Potion," showcasing her evolving artistry. Join us March 29 for a journey through storytelling, as we all share the stage going around singing our original music.
