Will Payne Harrison Biography

With three albums and an EP under his belt since relocating to Nashville over a decade ago, Will Payne Harrison continues to build on his reputation as one of East Nashville’s most thoughtful and dynamic storytellers. Hot off the heels of his 2022 album Tioga Titan, Harrison is set to release his newest project, Still Feelin' the Payne, on August 15th, 2025 — an 11-song collection of pure country music and swampy honky tonk that proves his artistic evolution shows no signs of slowing down.

Dubbed “engaging...his most in-depth creative project to date” by The Boot on his previous record, Still Feelin' the Payne adds to the engagement with a rich tapestry of love, loss, resilience, and dancehall revelry. Wide Open Country praises Harrison as “a thoughtful storyteller,” noting how he uncovers beauty in the ordinary through simple yet profound lyrics. Steeped deeply in tradition yet fresh and vital, the album leans even further into the spirit of honky tonks, Fais Do Dos and Southern grit, with The Amp remarking that these songs “would feel right at home being played at any dance hall in the state of Texas,” and Glide Magazine calling it “down-home rock that smolders with a Chris Stapleton authenticity.”

Harrison, a Louisiana native who proudly wears his Cajun roots on his sleeve, once again channels the duality of his musical upbringing — blending Nashville’s precision with the effortless, soulful looseness of Louisiana’s swampy rhythms. Rocking Magpie aptly describes the sound as “contemporary honky tonk with more twists than a rollercoaster,” capturing the lively and heartfelt spirit that runs through Still Feelin' the Payne.

Following the emotional depth and personal reflection found in Tioga Titan, Harrison sets out on this new album to honor the traditions that shaped him, while also inviting listeners to dance, laugh, and sometimes cry along the way. Songs burst with two-beat bass, weeping pedal steel, blazing fiddle lines, and airtight harmonies that feel tailor-made for late-night jukeboxes and neon-lit dance floors.

American Songwriter called Harrison a “Top-Notch Independent Country Artists You Need to Hear” — and Still Feelin' the Payne only doubles down on that sentiment, offering a heartfelt, rollicking ride through the heart of American Country music.

With this latest release, Harrison proves that whether he's channeling deep wells of emotion or lighting up a dance floor with a swampy stomp, he’s a voice in country music worth hearing — back in Tioga, on the streets of East Nashville, and everywhere in between.
