Matt McGuire

Matt McGuire is a Toronto based independent musician who inspires audiences through musical storytelling with everything from melodic stadium anthems to folk-punk ballads.

Matt's first single "When I'm Done, I'm Done" gives fans a chance to reminisce the early 1990s with notable The Smashing Pumpkins and Green Day influences, and strives to capture the exact moment when life-changing decisions are made.

Matt's musical journey also draws influence from Frank Turner, Radiohead, Nirvana, The Strokes, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Counting Crows, Silversun Pickups, Bright Eyes, NOFX, and others.

Firmly rooted in the vast alt rock movement he affectionately refers to as "Dad Rock", Matt writes songs to evoke feelings of nostalgia within fans of the era while simultaneously offering them fresh, new material.

Matt's lyrics are an autobiography, telling relatable stories of youth, love, victory, loss, and life in general.
