Connor Parente Biography
Since he began performing plays on stage at age six and first professional performance at 10, Connor has constantly been surrounded by music.
After being shown the likes of rock and roll legends such as Bob Dylan and The Beatles, Connor began writing his own songs. At 15 he sat in with a local singer-songwriter and received tremendous acclaim. This led to a long line of performing at local gigs.
Parente’s songs take the established classic rock form and both update and honor them. A typical show will include a plethora of originals mixed with Dylan, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, Joni Mitchell, and all the other “highway mystics” that inspired him.
His debut record Hieroglyphics, produced by Rick Witkowski, features legends such as Steve Binsberger, Dwayne Dolphin, Bob Banerjee, Bill Toms, Marc Reisman, Derrick Beatie, Danny Gochnour, The Soulville Horns, in addition to Witkowski. His music brings a fresh take on the classic rock and roll genre, looking both to the past and the future.
