The Hype Magazine -
"Taking inspiration from contemporaries like Anderson Paak and Kendrick Lamar, while also recognizing past purveyors like Curtis Mayfield and Stevie Wonder, Munk Duane crafts the perfect blend of groove-oriented conscious-R&B. His music has a purpose and in today’s social climate the messages are all too clear.”
The Indie Source -
“Munk Duane has refined his singer/songwriter sound to craft an expressive novel voice… urban and confident. Munk is mixing his ingenious composing skills with a mastery of pop that makes the sound his own. Complimented by seasoned lyricism, Duane finds his footing in R&B Funk while leaning into the soul that sets his music apart.”
The Static Dive -
“Munk nails it across the board. From the sexy analog synth at the heart of the mix, to the minimalist downtempo funk of the percussion, Munk gets it. He’s on a roll. Get in the loop.”
Boston Globe -
"Munk crafts his music with intelligence and panache. Can superstar status be far behind?”
