Vince Converse Biography
Originally from Houston Texas, his career started fresh out of high school when he signed a deal and proved himself a big dog on the Lone-Star-State blues scene. Touring internationally, his band Sunset Heights, was wildly successful and he made a name for himself by the age of 23. Over the years, he has worked with industry icons such as Pete Brown (Cream), Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix -producer) and cut heads with some heavy hitters- not to mention opening for legends like BB King, Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Beck, George Thorogood, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughn, Tab Benoit, Sammy Hagar, The Mississippi Allstars, Taj Mahal, Keb' Mo', Robert Cray (Little Feat), Lynyrd Skynyrd, Canned Heat, The Yardbirds, Peter Green, The Animals, and more. He has played some of the country’s iconic venues, including: Red Rocks Amphitheater, Cynthia Woods Pavilion, Fillmore West, Fiddler’s Green, and The Famous Antone’s in Austin Texas - as well as hundreds of venues and festivals around the world.
In the studio, he has recorded and been featured on releases with Jeff Beck, Gary Moore, Leslie West, The Delaware Destroyers, and Tommy Mandel to name a few. He is most recently featured on the 2023 album, Texas Scratch, and his album, Vince Converse and Friends.
